We restore your old family pictures, repair cracks & spots, remove scratches & replace missing or damaged areas of the photo. We fix flaws in your older photographs of your family members, ancestors & friends, bringing your treasured memories back to their original quality with digital enhancement & new, fresh colour.

When you bring your photos to us for an estimate,

we can scan your photos while you wait if you want us to go ahead,

so you can take them back home with you.

We scan your original photograph copy with professional scanners, repair & retouch the image on our computer & leave the photo black and white, or colour it in an aged vintage sepia tint (a soft brown). We take the digital file of your new foto to our lab for professional printing on Kodak Royal paper. At an additional cost, we can have your restored photo professionally mounted on a wood plaque.

Old Photo Restoration Package

Photo Restoration is difficult to price without first seeing the photograph you'd like restored. Please bring your photos to us and let us give you an estimate.

About 50% of the work brought to us is billed at the average cost of ...

$175 each, plus tax

Our services include the following ...

Scanning of your original photograph. We may have this done at our lab depending on the size of your original picture, to ensure no additional damage during the process

Expert restoration of your photo on our computer using our Adobe Photoshop CS2 professional software.

Digital imaging of your foto to ensure all restoration is as natural and realistic as possible.

Colour to the restored photo according to your wishes (black and white or vintage sepia - a soft brown tint)

Enlargement to a size suitable for the quality of image, and the size you'd like. We will let you know the size we believe will give you the best print from the restored image.

An emailed copy of your new photograph, so that you can approve printing before the file goes to the lab

One 8"x10" or 5"x7" print, ready to frame, depending on the quality of the original photo & restored negative.

Your restored photo's digital negative on CD, so you can make as many additional prints as you like at home or the lab of your choice.

Our services do not include the following ...

Removal of old photos from their frames. The photo may be stuck to the glass because of dampness & old photo finishes, causing additional damage when removed. We ask that you bring us unframed photos.

Framing or mounting. Please add $95 if you choose to have your restored photo mounted on a wooden plaque up to an 8"x10" size, ready to hang anywhere. No glare. Suits any decor or colour scheme.

we email an invoice to you.

When your deposit has been received,

we begin work & let you know when done.

The balance of your Invoice

is payable when you pick up your prints & CD

We do our best to minimize your cost

and never add to your Invoice

MINOR RESTORATION is defined as follows ... the photo is in very good condition & needs only a couple of minor adjustments, enhancements or repairs

No more than 2 tiny scratches, dust or rust spots

Minor colour, saturation & contrast adjustments

AVERAGE RESTORATION is defined as follows ... the photo has minor damage, such as

Slight damage to faces, hands, hair, dress or background

A few hairline scratches, cracks, mould or rust spots

One or 2 small parts of the foto are missing

A small portion of the photo is crumpled due to water damage

A small bit is missing after having stuck to glass in the frame (probably due to storage in a damp basement)

MAJOR RESTORATION will be quoted depending on the amount of work involved ... the photo has serious damage, such as

Missing moderate parts of faces or other major details of the photograph which need to be replaced with bits of other old photos (which we have) for this specific purpose

Serious stains & fading

Numerous scratches & cracks

Severe damage of any kind, with missing, faded, yellowed or stained portions
